How we handle your data

Add PDF Bookmarks

Add bookmarks to a PDF from a list of titles and page numbers. Nest entries by indenting them, and navigate long files faster.

Six labeled pages without bookmarks. Enter Introduction | 1, then Scope | 2 on the next line and Results | 4; the bookmarks panel should show three entries, Scope nested.

A practical guide

Build a table of contents panel.

  1. Add the PDF.
  2. Write one bookmark per line as Title | page, indented to nest.
  3. Save the copy and open the bookmarks panel in a PDF viewer.

Try this example

A 60-page manual gets the lines Introduction | 1, Setup | 5, with two indented lines under Setup. The viewer then shows a short outline.

Before

  • Report without bookmarks

After

  • Introduction → page 1
  • Results → page 5
