Your files stay on your device

File processing runs in your browser. Documents are not uploaded to our servers. The site may download processing engines and send usage or feedback events without file contents.

How we handle your data

Word to PDF

Word to PDF for DOCX files: choose the document and save a fixed-layout PDF, created on your device with no settings to adjust. Your file stays in your browser.

Choose your document

Choose a DOCX file and convert it to PDF. The first conversion prepares the local Office engine and may take a moment; the next file on this page is faster.

Local limit: 10 MiB per document

Choose a document, then convert it to PDF.

Processing happens on this device. Keep this tab open until your PDF is ready.

Try an example

A two-page document with a table, an amount and a page break.

Download sample DOCX

Select the downloaded sample and convert it. Two PDF pages, with the table on the first page.

What to expect

Text, images and page layout are converted together. Fonts and complex formatting may differ from your Office editor; check your PDF before sharing.

Large documents may exceed your device’s available memory. If conversion fails, try a smaller document or another device.

Help with conversion

The converter does not start

Check your connection while the converter prepares itself, then retry. This converter needs a modern browser and sufficient memory.

My document could not be converted

Open the document in your editor and save a new DOCX copy. Password-protected, damaged or unsupported files may fail. The input limit is 10 MiB and the PDF output limit is 20 MiB.

Processing takes too long

Preparing the converter stops after two minutes; conversion stops after one minute. You can cancel during processing and restart with a smaller document.

A practical guide

Save a Word document as a PDF.

  1. Open a DOCX file from your computer.
  2. Start the conversion and wait for the PDF to be ready.
  3. Download the PDF and compare its pages with the Word document.

Try this example

Convert a 12-page DOCX contract with a signature table on the last page, then check that the table and page breaks match the original.

Before you start: Only DOCX is accepted, not the older Word format. Fonts missing on this device are replaced, so line breaks can shift slightly.
