Add Letterhead to PDF

Add letterhead to PDF pages: place a one-page PDF template behind or above your document, fitted to each selected page.

Try a sample supplies the six-page document. Click Use sample letterhead for a separate one-page template, review the layer and page range, then apply it and inspect the result.

Your documents stay on this device. Tool downloads and usage statistics do not include file contents.

A practical guide

Put company stationery under the text.

  1. Add the PDF to change, then add the one-page letterhead PDF.
  2. Choose behind or above the content and the pages to cover.
  3. Run the task and check that the text is still readable.

Try this example

A letter of three pages is plain white. Add the company letterhead as a template behind all pages, and each page now shows the logo and address line.

Before you start: The template must have one page. A solid page background can hide the layer behind it. Links are kept, comments and form fields are imprinted or removed, and bookmarks are not kept.

Fit a single-page PDF template behind or above selected document pages. Opaque backgrounds may hide the underlying layer.

Limits and important details

One image, 5 MiB/4 MP. PNG transparency and JPG backgrounds remain; no EXIF correction. PDF letterhead: one template page up to 5 MiB, source 10 MiB/200 pages, output 40 MiB. Links are kept; comments and form fields are imprinted or removed, as you choose; signed PDFs are refused. Document metadata/bookmarks are not preserved. Opaque page backgrounds may hide a layer. A watermark is not redaction, access control or identity verification; digital signatures may be invalidated. Text fonts support limited characters.

Example

Choose a one-page PDF letterhead and select 1, 3-5 for the cover and chosen report pages. Check whether opaque source backgrounds cover the template.
