A practical guide
Get the pictures out of a document.
- Add the PDF and enter the pages to search.
- Run the task to find the embedded images.
- Open the ZIP and check each picture.
Try this example
A 14-page catalog has product photos on pages 2-6. Extract from those pages and the ZIP holds the photos as PNG files without the text around them.
Before
- PDF with pictures
After
- Pictures + manifest
Before you start: The files are decoded copies, not the original image files. Up to 100 images and 20 pages per run; hidden areas may appear.
Build a PDF from supported imagesWhat you get
Extract embedded raster images as PNG in a ZIP. These are decoded copies, not the original compressed image files; hidden image areas may be included.
Limits and important details
10 MiB input, 200 source pages, 20 selected pages, 4 MP per page/image, 24 MP total and 48 MiB ZIP; extraction also caps at 100 images. Stencil masks and grouped inline images are unsupported. Extraction excludes annotation appearances and does not apply page clipping, rotation or overlays; hidden image areas may be included. Repeats are deduplicated within each page only. Complex PDFs can need more memory. No OCR; ZIP is not PDF input.
Example
Extract pictures from pages 1-3 and inspect the ZIP manifest. A picture may include areas hidden by page clipping.
