A practical guide

Get editable text out of a finished document.

  1. Add one PDF with selectable text, up to 100 pages.
  2. Run the task to build the DOCX.
  3. Open the file in a word processor and check the layout.

Try this example

A 12-page contract arrives as PDF and you need to change two clauses. Convert it to DOCX, open it in Word and edit the text in the new file.

Before

  • Report.pdf

After

  • Report.docx with headings and paragraphs

Before you start: Tables, columns and exact positions are not kept. A scanned PDF has no text layer and does not work here.

What you get

Convert a PDF with selectable text into an editable DOCX with headings, paragraphs and page breaks rebuilt from its text layer.

Limits and important details

One PDF with selectable text, up to 10 MB and 100 pages. Layout is rebuilt as headings and paragraphs; tables, columns and exact positions are not preserved.

Example

Convert the six-page sample: the DOCX has six headings, the body text of each page and a page break between pages.
